Seriously sunrise did a quite a few removal of the tender and meaningful moments between the two and added arguing (not to mention sits because at the end of the peach tree arc in the anime she sits him but in the manga she doesn't) for the fun of it. Also after Kagome is injured by Kohaku, in the manga Inuyasha puts his arm around her and they hug but as you know in the anime they argue. That and they downplayed their relationship quite a bit, some instances of there affection that got changed for instance in the scene of episode 23 (corresponding volume 8) when Inuyasha and Miroku and Shippo are talking and Iuyasha asks why can’t he have both well that was a scene added by the writers the way Rumiko had it was Inuyasha and Kagome talking and he basically tells her why he can’t forget Kikyo (that it was partialy his fault she died because he didn't trust her) and says Kagome is Kagome and there is no replacing her. There must have been writers over at Sunrise who really liked having Inuyasha getting sat and having Inuyasha and Kagome argue even though in the manga they hardly ever did.
Though in ep 135 since the view switched from Inuyasha getting sat to Miroku for a short bit and back I would bet the sits would be higher instead of 23 probably in the 30s to 40s. So Sunrise added 39 extra sits in episodes corresponding with manga chapters with sits, created 15 sits were there were none in episodes with corresponding manga volume and created 52 sits with filler episodes. So yeah Inuyasha in the manga had less sits than his anime version. Added extra sits like episode 23 (2 sits) in the corresponding manga only 1 (when Kagome was walking away), Ep 109 had 16 manga only had 4, 158 had 5 manga had 4, 160 had 2 manga had 1. In fact Sunrise added unnecessary sits in episodes with corresponding manga chapters where there were no sits (Episode 7, 8, 45, 46, 54, 55, 58, 85, 87, 182 (Final act E15) and 185 (FA 18)) Created sits with filler episodes Episode 63, 65, 68, 72, 75, 77, 91, 96, 98, 99, 100, 129, 130, 135, 136, 137, and the movies.
So after looking through the manga that there are only 48 sits (paged through looking for Sits) while in the Anime if not counting the movies 124 (148 with movies). Sunrise actually added extra sits in the anime in episodes that correspond to manga chapters like inepisode 126 she told him to sit 16 times in the corresponding manga volume 26 she only sat him 4 times and called him an idiot 4 times.
